Now it’s on to securing the Democratic Party nomination for MSU Trustee, which will occur at the Democratic Party’s nominating convention in August.  And then onto the general election, where Trustees are elected by statewide vote of all registered voters.

That means introducing – or in some instances, re-introducing – myself to party leadership, attending county and congressional district meetings, making campaign priorities known during April’s endorsement convention and securing key endorsements from active and respected constituency groups.

And lot’s of “Get Out The Vote” come September and October.

While this is new to me, I look forward to the challenge to come.

Matt Clayson is seeking the Democratic Party nomination for MSU Trustee.

Election day will be here before we know it.
